I could hear this fellow before I could see him, and then I took about eight blurred photos as he flew around my house. From the giant tree out front, to the grapevines , to the apple tree, and the he stayed atop a fence post to nibble on the berries of the Boston Ivy. Makes me happy to know his flight path was my yard.
Keep your eyes open to the cardinals. They’re much easier to spot now that the trees are bare.
